The degree of distortion of facts and unprofessional journalism in Germany is appalling. Journalists, government and politicians acted in a juvenile manner in response to a protest in FU posted on Instagram by Student Collective Berlin, where students protested murder of Palestinian children.
A die in was organized in @FU_Berlin by a small number of students, the protest cited Amnesty International and the United Nations that condemned the mass indiscriminate killing of Palestinian children, link here:

A journalist then ripped the video and stripped it of sound which really asked nothing but to treat Palestinians as humans and described the protest as Hamas propaganda against Jews. A demonstrably false statement.
Instead of investigating the mentioned minister, @starkwatzinger repeated Iman’s propaganda unquestioningly. And asked for an intervention based on a mischaracterization of the protest.
Luckily @GuenterMZiegler, head of @FU_Berlin responded that demonstrations that are not antisemitic should be tolerated in a democracy, reminding @starkwatzinger that you cannot throw around false accusations and take action based on these accusations.
But despite all of this the CDU has deemed that any anti-Israeli protest should not be tolerated, no matter the war crimes they commit, begging the question, does it mean that Israel can commit any crime without being held accountable? How can this be justice?
And to top it off, @bzberlin covered the story and used a photo attributing it incorrectly to Iman Sefati, even though they did not take the video distorting it by stripping away the sound, without giving proper credit to Student Collective Berlin.

In the end, it is a failure of politicians to guarantee basic right of assembly, failure of journalists to attribute material and provide adequate context while hurling around false accusations, and a clear message that Israeli government is above the law.
